On a personal note, I’m often asked about my favorite genres of music and what I like to play.  I grew up listening to 90s and early 2000s music, which served as the foundation for my professional DJ career, and has since branched out extensively in both chronological directions.  Today, there’s not a genre I don’t love!  Better yet, I’ve seen every genre of music play out incredibly well at our events and pride myself on the ability to read any crowd and escalate the party through perfect song selection, smooth blends and timely presentation.

When I’m not entertaining at weddings and corporate events, I enjoy traveling domestically and abroad and found a love for Mardi Gras in New Orleans and Oktoberfest in Munich.  I’ve also studied cultural entertainment across the globe from London, Dublin and Amsterdam to Barcelona, Italy and Paris to bring a diverse perspective to all of my events.  I also recently married my beautiful wife Nicole and we reside in lower Westchester county together with our uncharacteristic shih tzu “Louie” pictured below.

Known for his uniquely adventurous sound and style, Alex Travers has emerged as one of the most sought after DJs in New York. From cellist, to percussionist, to ballroom dancer, to DJ/writer, it seems there is nothing he can’t do.
